Position Summary:

This job plays a key role in assessing applications and reviewing notifications for issue of approvals under the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981 (the Act) as a means of coordinating treatment with drugs of dependence and optimising the safe and legal supply of prescribed drugs. 


Are you:


  • Highly skilled in interpreting the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Act 1981 and the Drugs, Poisons and Controlled Substances Regulations 2017, the pharmacotherapy policy and other relevant standards?
  • Experienced in engaging with key stakeholders such as medical practitioners, pharmacists and other health professionals to assist them in making safe and legal treatment decisions?
  • Have a strong background in Victorian regulatory compliance with respect to drugs and poisons?
