Position Summary:

The Capability Officer (Business Continuity) undertakes projects, programs and activity to support the Department of Health and Human Services business continuity and emergency management capability.

The Capability Officer (Business Continuity) may also participate in planning and activity to ensure the department meets its responsibilities in relation to critical infrastructure under the Emergency Management Act 2013.

The Capability Officer (Business Continuity) is required to contribute to the 24-hour, 7-day-a-week preparedness and operations of state-wide emergency response activities. During emergencies this may involve a range of tasks including the development of plans and reports, managing incoming and outgoing information, delivering briefings, coordinating the assignment of tasks, and liaising with external stakeholders.
