Position Summary:

The Office of Medicinal Cannabis is a branch within the Regulation, Health Protection and Emergency Management Division. The Office is responsible for implementing the government's commitment to enable access to medicinal cannabis products for patients in Victoria.

This role requires significant stakeholder engagement to oversight the government's compassionate access scheme and the development of a pharmacovigilance framework for that scheme.

This position will be required to provide clinical advice in the context of the medicinal cannabis scheme in Victoria, liaise with the medical profession and research community, oversee development and maintenance of all guidance and educational material, liaise with members of the Independent Medical Advisory Committee, oversee evaluation of current and emerging research, oversee analysis of pharmacovigilance data collected through the scheme and undertake any delegated functions under the Drugs Poisons and Controlled Substances Act and any other relevant legislation.
