Position Summary:

The Behaviour Support Service (BSS) senior practitioner provides a specialist service to individuals with a disability and their carers where the individual is engaging behaviours of concern. The BSS senior practitioner is required to complete comprehensive behavioural assessments and develop positive behaviour supports that may include crisis management plans. The senior practitioner will also be required to provide training and support to direct care staff to successfully implement programs.

As the senior practitioner further duties may include, supervision of staff and determining operational service delivery plans based on professional and industry standards. If you are motivated and wish to significantly contribute to improving the quality of life of those individuals engaging in behaviours of concern and their carers then a position in BSS will provide you with that opportunity.
