Position Summary:


This position will focus on the development and implementation of health and education initiatives for children and young people in out-of-home care so that their diverse needs are better identified and responded to.

You will have responsibility for developing and supporting cross agency processes that ensure timely health and education assessments, and for coordinating children and young people's treatment and support packages as determined through the assessment process.

You will work in close consultation and partnership with Department of Health and Human Services Divisional and central staff, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Community Service Organisations, local schools and education providers, and community health providers.

Are You:

  • Interested in improving outcomes for children and young people who have been removed from the family home and placed in out-of-home care?
  • Capable of working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing demands in a dynamic work environment?
  • Skilled in planning and organising, gathering and analysing information, and report writing?
