Position Summary:

This position is an opportunity for a person with excellent knowledge of departmental programs, planning and relationship management skills to ensure the development of a strong area-based or population health approach to deliver key health outcomes for older Victorians.

Located within the West Division Department of Health & Human Services, the Senior Program Adviser supports population health, service system or area-based planning approaches, addressing departmental and divisional health priorities. The major focus of the role is to promote, build and support the health and wellbeing of older people in Victoria, particularly those experiencing disadvantage and social isolation.  The Healthy and Active Ageing adviser will support multiple strategies, policies and programs across sectors to support organisational change, workforce development and partnerships to maximise sustainability and impact of this program.

  • A person with knowledge and experience of implementing health policy initiatives and program development?
  • Able to negotiate, communicate and build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders in the health sector?
  • A person who cooperates and works well with others in the pursuit of team goals?
