Position Summary:


The Senior Practitioner will provide support to the Specialist Services Manager and participate as a member of the Specialist Services leadership team. This will involve actively influencing the development of Specialist Services provided by the program and the broader programs within Department of Human Services. The Senior Practitioner will be an experienced practitioner in the delivery of Behaviour Support Services, and lead an area of clinical practice. In this role the Senior Practitioner may be responsible for clinical supervision of staff in context to their work with clients, families and formal supports, day-to-day operations of Behaviour Support Services and the provision of line management.

 Are you:

  • Able to conduct assessment and intervention services including the development, design, implementation and evaluation of advanced therapeutic strategies for people with complex behavioural, developmental and relationship issues?
  •  Clinically experienced and have knowledge in the development, implementation and      evaluation of therapeutic strategies and approaches to clients, families and stakeholders?
  •  Able to apply the principles of the Positive Practice Framework in therapeutic contexts?
