About us

Road Safety Camera Program Unit within the Police, Fines and Crime Prevention Division is responsible for management of day-to-day operations of the Fixed Digital Road Safety Camera (FDRSC) System network, including monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera contractors, testing and maintenance.

About the role

As the Contracts Support Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking and supporting various tasks in contract management across the full contract lifecycle. In the role, you will:

  • ensure compliance of all procurements and contracts, including analysing and verifying invoices
  • monitor contract expenditure and make recommendations relating to approved budgets and payments
  • undertake analysis of contractor compliance and performance against contractual obligations including contract key performance indicators and service level standards
  • monitor and report on contract deliverables and liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • draft contract letters, reports, memorandums, briefings and other correspondence for procurement and contract management activities
  • provide contract and financial reporting including budget analysis, forecasting, outstanding invoices and expiring contracts.

Please note this is a fixed term 12-month opportunity.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • demonstrated experience in contract management, government procurement, budgeting and expenditure management
  • working knowledge of these and/or similar systems: Zycus – contract management system, MS Office Suite, TRIM records management and Oracle Financials
  • experience in monitoring, evaluating and negotiating on contract management matters
  • the ability to apply a business mind-set to all activities and ensure effective and efficient service delivery
  • well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to mitigate risks as they arise.
