About us

Knowledge Information and Technology Services (KITS) provides a range of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services for the Department of Justice and Regulation. The branch sets the strategic direction of ICT in alignment with the business direction.

KITS is responsible for ICT strategies, implementation of initiatives, architectures, policies, projects, line of business applications and infrastructure services in a multi-sourced environment.

About the role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of assigned projects and initiatives over their full lifecycle and/or assist a Senior Project Manager on more complex projects.

In the role, you will:

  • take full responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful completion of ICT projects or initiatives for the department
  • manage expectations of all stakeholders including influencing key stakeholders, negotiation on resources and competing priorities and operating under significant time constraints
  • manage, action and report on the progress of projects, using appropriate quality assurance processes
  • identify and respond to new and emerging risks and issues that may impact on business and project delivery
  • generate technical documentation and initiate and maintain effective stakeholder management and communications.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing the successful delivery of projects through the full project lifecycle, preferably in a public sector procurement environment (or similar)
  • knowledge of ICT technologies and new/emerging technologies
  • experience in applying structured project management methods, with a preference for PRINCE2
  • experience in project management with the ability to set strategic direction and effectively manage project teams, resources, suppliers and stakeholders.
