The Learning and Development team within People and Culture is responsible for four areas of learning and development activities in the department – Corporate, Corrections Victoria, learning and performance systems and accredited training.
About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic trainer to deliver our Koori Cultural Awareness Training program, which is an integral part of the department's commitment to creating a culturally inclusive workplace under our Koori Inclusion Action Plan. This role will work in partnership with the Koori Employment team in order to build the attraction and career development of Koori staff across the organisation.
This is a fixed-term role for six months.
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- detailed knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Koori community, both society and culture, and the issues impacting on it
- a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with members of the Victorian Koori community
- excellent interpersonal, presentation and organisational skills.
