- An Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service
- VPS Grade 5: $109,730 - $132,764 plus superannuation.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer, and stronger Victoria.
The Finance and Procurement business unit provides department-wide financial, procurement and workplace services through strategic leadership and setting the direction, policy, and processes, and partnering with the department to build capability.
Procurement and Property Services monitors and reports on procurement performance and manages several high-profile strategic projects to minimise procurement risk and support the delivery of value for money. It is also responsible for the effective operation and management of asset maintenance, fleet and property, and facilities management services across the department.
About the Role:
The role is a part of the ICT Sourcing team which is responsible for delivering end-to-end complex sourcing of ICT goods and services that deliver value-for-money to client business areas and works closely with the other teams in the branch to support delivery of the department's strategic objectives through provision of procurement and property services.
Within the role of a Senior Sourcing Specialist, some of your duties will include:
- Developing, implementing, and managing end-to-end sourcing activities for the department's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sourcing Team, in line with the department's Procurement and Contract Management framework
- Delivering effective value-for-money outcomes to client business areas
- Preparing sourcing plans, complex evaluation and negotiation reports, briefings and presentations to influence senior stakeholders and achieve sourcing objectives
- Ensuring a high level of customer service is provided to internal and external stakeholders.

About You:
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Procurement delivery: A wealth of expertise and experience in delivering end-to-end complex sourcing activity, especially in ICT contract and vendor management, in a regulated environment
- Strategic sourcing: A strong ability to plan and manage high-value and business critical procurement activities
- Negotiation: Extensive experience in conducting negotiations with suppliers
- Contract design and management: Seasoned expertise and experience in ICT contract development in a complex and changing environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably encompassing procurement, supply chain, commerce, law, ICT or business administration is highly desirable.
- Experience / understanding of government procurement and policies will be highly desirable.
