Position Details

About us

The Infringement Management & Enforcement Services (IMES) business unit within the Department of Justice & Regulation provides end-to-end management of infringement matters to the Victorian Government and a range of external enforcement agencies.

The Camera Operations business unit oversees the Road Safety Camera Program, an integral part of the Towards Zero Victorian Road Safety Strategy 2016-2020.  The unit works closely with Victoria Police and VicRoads to improve road safety and to reduce the number of people killed and injured on Victoria's roads.

Camera Operations manage the day-to-day operations of the Road Safety Camera network, including monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera contractors, testing and maintenance.

About the role

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • providing project management leadership and expert advice
  • managing and leading the delivery of multiple major projects and initiatives
  • establishing project governance and ensuring technical compliance
  • ensuring system alignment to the overall network development plan
  • ensuring all projects meet the DJR, Government specifications and industry standards
  • explaining highly specialised and technical subject matter.

There are 2 ongoing, full time, positions available

About us

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • a tertiary qualification in Engineering, or similar technical discipline
  • relevant project management qualifications
  • several years' experience in the end to end delivery of technical infrastructure projects
  • the ability to successfully deliver multiple complex projects in a technical and outsourced environment
  • the ability to develop complex specifications and be highly skilled in technical writing
  • experience in applying structured project management methods.
