About Us

The Department of Justice and Community Safety delivers high-quality services to Victorians and supports a safe, just, innovative and thriving Victoria.  Road Safety Camera Program Unit (RSCP) within the Police, Community Safety and Communications Group is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the Road Safety Camera (RSC) network (mobile and fixed), including monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera service providers for camera certification, testing and maintenance.

About the Role

The RSCP business unit is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of the Victorian Road Safety Camera network on behalf of the Victorian Government and Victoria Police.  These responsibilities include the monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera testing, certification and maintenance contractors as well as monitoring and assessing the performance of the RSC network.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in the management of assets in line with ISO 55000
  • Extensive experience in the management of major technical initiatives, including (but not limited to) the development, planning and implementation stages of complex technological systems, preferably in a road infrastructure setting and within a Government environment.
  • Proven track record in the implementation and management of a major technological and operational network, preferably within a Government environment.
  • Experience in managing and overseeing a team.

  • Resilience: Keeps self and others calm when under pressure; is decisive and charts course of actions enabling teams to resolve a challenging situation.
  • Promote Inclusion: Establishes a workforce that is diverse and takes advantage of relevant knowledge and skills; creates opportunities to improve knowledge of teams in the area of diversity and inclusion.
