Position Details

The Crime Statistics Agency (CSA) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Regulation, with responsibility for the publication of crime statistics independent of Victoria police, to assist law enforcement policy and improve public access to data. The CSA also conducts in-depth research, evaluation and analysis to inform the public about crime trends and support justice policy and planning.

A Research Assistant is sought to work within the Research and Evaluation team of the CSA from January 2019 until 30 June 2019. The Research and Evaluation team undertakes research and evaluation to inform key stakeholders and the community about key issues in crime and justice. The Research Assistant will be expected to support the team to plan and conduct high-quality research and evaluation projects.

This position may require the successful applicant to obtain a negative vetting level 1 security clearance.
