Position Details

About us

The Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) has been established to design, procure, build and upgrade the infrastructure needed to keep communities safe.

CSBA provides end-to-end project management and delivery of Victoria's new prisons, youth justice centres, court and custody facilities, emergency services facilities and public safety features such as pedestrian walkway bollards and CCTV networks. As well as delivering new infrastructure CSBA modernises, expands and upgrades existing facilities.

CSBA is resourced with a highly skilled workforce that supports the development, procurement and delivery oversight of major projects. The team within CSBA includes specialists in community safety infrastructure, project management and design. 

About the role

The Executive Assistant will provide high level executive and administrative support to one Executive Director and three Directors within the Office of the CEO, as follows: 

  • Executive Director, Commercial and Legal
  • Director, Reporting and Administration
  • Director, Governance and Assurance
  • Director, Safety. 

The Executive Assistant is required to perform duties including email and calendar management, providing administrative services to support internal and external meetings and events, the tracking of correspondence, supporting and/or managing business unit administration processes, the coordination of and information flow in and out of CSBA. The Executive Assistant will also support CSBA executive in ensuring key corporate responsibilities, including reporting requirements, are met and support the delivery of discrete projects, as required. 

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have: 

  • previous experience as an Executive Assistant to senior management within a highly sensitive and dynamic environment
  • strong attention to detail
  • demonstrated ability to analyse issues and determine priorities in an environment of tight and conflicting deadlines, to take initiative and work autonomously.
