The Workplace Relations Team, which is part of People and Culture within DJR, has an opportunity for an experienced individual to join the team in the role of Senior Workplace Relations Consultant in a fixed term capacity.

About the Role

Working with business clients across DJR, this role will provide high-level consultancy services and advice across a full range of people management issues and practices in accordance with DJR policies, the Public Administration Act 2004 and the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2016.

The Senior Workplace Relations Consultant will also:

  • lead the development and implementation of people management, employee relations and industrial solutions
  • manage conflict resolution and change management processes within the department
  • consult with, and gain cooperation from external agencies, organisations and unions.

About You

The ideal candidate will be able to display:

  • extensive experience in case management of complex human resources issues
  • the ability to understand and advise on policy and legislation
  • experience advising senior stakeholders on people management issues
  • development and delivery of people management strategies and projects
  • high-level written communication and experience in developing complex documentation.

The Senior Workplace Relations Consultant will also need to have sound problem solving skills and be able to demonstrable resilience when dealing with sensitive, and at times, complex information.
