About Us

The Police and Crime Prevention Division supports crime prevention and community safety by empowering communities to be safer and by contributing to modern and effective policing in Victoria. The division acts as a connector across the justice system, developing and implementing policy, driving community engagement and grants, and guiding and influencing improvements to policing.

About the Role

As our Assistant Director, Investment and Performance Analysis you will manage the budget development process across the police portfolio and undertake financial analysis and prepare financial reports on the Police current and capital budgets. You will also provide oversight and coordination of the budget and financial performance of the Police and Crime Prevention division.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • extensive experience in public sector and commercial, financial and management accounting
  • expert financial skills, including the development and maintenance of budget monitoring, systems and processes
  • sound knowledge of the Financial Management Package
  • understanding of, and experience using, Oracle Financials
  • excellent leadership and people management skills.

An appropriate tertiary qualification, preferably in Accounting or Commerce, would be highly desirable.
