About us

Knowledge Information and Technology Services (KITS) provides a range of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) services for the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).

The branch sets the strategic direction of ICT in alignment with the business direction. KITS is responsible for ICT strategies, implementation of initiatives, architectures, policies, projects, line of business applications and infrastructure services in a multi-sourced environment.

About the role

As the Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • manage the delivery of major enhancement projects for Department of Justice and Community Safety ICT business to meet their changing needs
  • build and embed the ICT project management business competency through the development and deployment of contemporary best practice principles and standards
  • deliver to business customer's quality, scope, time and cost expectations through the application of standardised project management practices.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • highly developed project management skills and expertise in the deployment of major ICT projects in a complex organisation
  • comprehensive knowledge of project management best practice and methodologies (including PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile or MSP)
  • comprehensive knowledge of information system elements (hardware, software, network and communications) and their application to business functions and processes
  • demonstrated expert level written and verbal communication skills.
