The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Talent Business Partner, to join the recruitment services team

About the Business Unit

The Recruitment Services (RS) team provides expert advice and support to the department on all recruitment related matters including, attraction, selection, retention, redeployment and other recruitment practices.  RS delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair and ethical recruitment solutions.

RS comprises the following specialist functions:

  • Executive Recruitment
  • Senior Recruitment Consulting and Redeployment
  • Campaign Recruitment
  • Assessment and Selection
  • Employment Marketing
  • Recruitment Operations
  • Recruitment Projects
  • Employment Programs

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Managers, the Senior Talent Business Partner navigates the complexities of recruiting for a diverse range of roles, responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, or leading campaign/volume recruitment in close collaboration with stakeholders to understand their business and what is required for current and future success.

You will manage recruitment process for frontline, senior, specialist, technical and complex vacancies including creating and reviewing position descriptions, developing and implementing attraction strategies, screening, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checking, offer negotiation and candidate feedback.

Working within a hybrid model, you'll combine flexibility with meaningful on-site engagement, including regular travel to prisons, youth justice precincts, and community centres, to build strong relationships and gain insight into the environments you recruit for.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven ability to provide contemporary recruitment services
  • Experience working autonomously with high capability to self-manage in the delivery of outcomes
  • Demonstrated understanding of the labour market including current and emerging economic, social, and political levers for labour trends on a local, regional and global basis

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in a similar recruitment role is essential
