About us

Infringement Management and Enforcement Services (IMES) is a portfolio within the Department of Justice Community Operations & Strategy division, responsible for managing the end-to-end infringements system in Victoria. The Camera Operations Group, within IMES, manage the day-to-day operations of the Fixed Digital Camera System (FDCS) network, including monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera contractors, testing and maintenance.

About the role

The Technical Data Analyst is located in the Camera Compliance, Research and Development team. The team has the principal responsibility for camera compliance, quality assurance and performance monitoring of the Fixed Digital Safety Camera network for the management of infringements and related enforcement system within the Traffic Camera Services and the Infringement Management and Enforcement Services contracts on behalf of the State. The purpose of this role is to assist the Senior Quality Assurance Officer in managing the documentary requirements in the form of periodic and ad-hoc reports, review and analyses of camera performance towards implementing Camera Systems Improvement Programme, and other duties as required.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • hands-on experience on Oracle-Citrix environment, advanced use of SQL (Structured Query Language) and ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) linking including applications on TOAD and other softwares
  • strong and proven skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Well-developed skills in VBA or other relevant macro languages would be well regarded
  • very good conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to identify emerging issues, trends and problems, and the capabilities to address those by preparing assertive information sheets, reports, briefings and correspondences.
