Position Details

This position is suited to a person with a strong Emergency Management and Business Continuity background who can provide high level advice on operational matters to key stakeholders within the court environment.

An extensive knowledge of how courts operate and the legislation and relevant standards would be a desirable attribute. The position is also required to comment and provide advice on operational incidents that occur within the courts environment and knowledge of policies and procedures relating to this would be an advantage.

Court Services Victoria (CSV) was established in 2014 to ensure Victoria's courts system is independent, sustainably resourced, and supported to deliver justice and safeguard Victorians' trust in the rule of law.
This role sits within the Security and Emergency Management Group (SEMG) that is responsible for providing authoritative and specialist security and emergency management services and advice to Victoria's courts and VCAT. SEMG is responsible for coordinating security and emergency management operations and business continuity practices, in line with legislative requirements, relevant standards and best practice.

The Operations Coordinator, Emergency Management and Business Continuity, is responsible for driving operational best practice methods and the maturation of emergency management and business continuity response across CSV. This role will be integral to ensuring CSV EM and BC policies and procedures are appropriately implemented, all required plan validation activities including training, testing and exercising are carried out and that the nominated jurisdiction EM and BC representatives are supported in their activities. This role will also actively manage the CSV EM and BC debrief process.
