Position Details

The Communications and Content Manager is responsible for developing the public voice of the Judicial College. The advisor will be a highly motivated and confident communicator, with a gift for writing and editing (both online and print publications) in an engaging and inspiring manner. While this position at times calls for high level strategic thinking, this is a hands-on role.

This person is the communications authority in the office – and will help improve the writing and communication skills of all staff across the organisation. The ideal candidate sees stories in everything and is able to create compelling content to suit a variety of audiences and channels (from email newsletters to Facebook and the annual report). They will oversee and help implement the marketing and promotion of all College events and publications. They will manage digital channels as needed and have an ability to examine analytics to determine what's working – and what's not – and change approach where necessary.

The position involves working in a fast-paced, professional, public sector environment as part of a small dedicated team dealing with members of the judiciary and other high-level stakeholders – so diplomacy, discretion and a strong customer service attitude are vital. A passion for ideas and an authentic interest in the justice system and the complexities and dynamics of social, cultural and legal matters are a must.

This position manages one or two direct reports.
