The Department of Justice and Community Safety is currently seeking an Executive Assistant to provide a critical role within the North West Metropolitan Area.
About the business unit
The North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA) employs approximately 500 people, across 13 sites, who work in collaboration with departmental program areas, other agencies and local communities to deliver justice services that are efficient, effective and integrated around community and client needs.
About the role
As the Executive Assistant you will play a key role within the Executive Director's Office, supporting the delivery of frontline services and strategic priorities. This role is responsible for providing confidential administrative support, leading and supporting communication activities, contributing to projects, and identifying and implementing process improvements.
The Executive Assistant provides secretariat support to the Senior Program Manager in NWMA's Local Site Executive Committees as part of the multi-agency Common Clients reform project.
Some of your key accountabilities include:
- Provide high level, confidential and timely administrative support to the Executive Director's Office, including diary, email and meeting management.
- Prepare, review, and monitor written correspondence including memorandums, briefs, letters, emails, and staff communication.
- Provide secretariat support to Local Site Executive Committees, including arranging meetings and forums, coordinating papers, organising venues, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
- Use software and systems such as Adobe, SharePoint, OneDrive, Planner, Electronic Briefing and Correspondence System and TRIM Records Manager.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in providing administrative and secretariat support.
- Experience creating, implementing and managing administrative processes, and initiating process change as required.
