Any above base requests require sign off by an executive delegate and will be by exception only or where required to match the current salary of Victorian Public Service staff transferring at level.

Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) has an opportunity for an experienced digital specialist to join the Digital Services Team to change how we research, design, and deliver our digital services.

About us

Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) is the Victorian Government's consumer affairs regulator and a business unit of the Department of Justice and Regulation. CAV's purpose is to help Victorians be responsible and informed businesses and consumers.

The Digital Services Team supports CAV's digital strategy by making it easier for Victorians to find, access, understand, and act on our information and services.


About the role

Reporting to the Digital Services Manager, as the Digital Services Adviser you will be key in delivering high-quality, user-focused digital services. Your role will include:

  • assisting in the development and implementation of digital tactics
  • develop and implement communication strategies and campaigns
  • take an active role in campaign planning
  • use digital strategies to support the achievement of positive communication outcomes
  • represent the branch at cross-organisational meetings.

Please note this is a fixed term opportunity until May 10, 2019.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • be a subject matter expert in digital service delivery
  • strong experience in user research and usability testing
  • have sound project management and stakeholder management skills
  • have a strong understanding of digital media and web accessibility.
