Position Details

About us

The Office of the Racing Integrity Commissioner is an independent statutory established under the Racing Act 1958 to provide independent oversight of integrity issues across all three racing codes; thoroughbred, harness and greyhounds racing.

Functions of the Racing Integrity Commissioner include the conduct of annual audits of the integrity processes of the three controlling bodies, the hearing and investigation of integrity related complaints and the conduct of own motion inquiries producing recommendations and findings as appropriate.

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Manager Integrity Operations is to provide support to the Racing Integrity Commissioner (the Commissioner) in the carrying out of his legislated functions under the Racing Act 1958. The role of Commissioner was created to provide independent oversight of integrity assurance in the Victorian Racing Industry (VRI). The Manager, Integrity Operations is a multi-faceted role, providing administrative, operational and policy support to the Commissioner. In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership, expert advice and support to the Commissioner to assist in operational management
  • Represent the Commissioner in consultation with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to identify emerging issues and broker solutions.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • An appropriate qualification or equivalent experience in a complex regulatory environment involving substantial compliance / regulatory operations would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of the VRI, would be an advantage.

Qualifications or equivalent experience in law, public policy or administration is desirable but not essential.
