  • Seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer, Cybersecurity Program.
  • Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity available for immediate filling.
  • VPS Grade 5: $109,730 - $132,764 per annum plus superannuation.

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Project Officer, Cybersecurity Program to fill a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.

About the Business Unit

Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.

Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded projects; and oversees the delivery of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.

About the Role

The role of a Senior Project Officer, Cybersecurity Program:

  • Provide full lifecycle project management support for the delivery of cybersecurity projects from initiation through to implementation
  • Provide incident management services as part of the DJCS Cyber Incident Management Team.
  • Collaborate with the Privacy and Information Management teams to deliver a safe and secure information environment in DJCS.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Technical expertise

  • Knowledge of the principles and processes of project management, project lifecycle stages and project management software.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity defences and techniques.
  • Knowledge of state, national and international cybersecurity and information security frameworks.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in cyber incident management.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in a technology discipline such as computer science, information technology management, systems engineering or similar is highly desirable.
  • At least 5 years of project support experience in information technology or similar fields is desirable.
  • Technical knowledge and hands-on experience in cybersecurity is desirable.
  • Experience working in cybersecurity projects is highly desirable.
