- Ongoing, Full-Time role available for immediate filling.
- VPS Grade 6: $134,593 - $180,115 per annum plus superannuation.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking a Senior Manager, Cyber Security Program to fill a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.
About the Business Unit
Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded projects; and oversees the delivery of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role
The role of a Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Program:
- Provide full lifecycle project management leadership for the delivery of cybersecurity projects from initiation through to implementation
- Provide incident management services as part of the DJCS Cyber Incident Management Team.
- Collaborate with the Privacy and Information Management teams to deliver a safe and secure information environment in DJCS.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Technical expertise
- Commercial acumen to negotiate effectively to establish low risk, value for money commercial contracts that meet the specified requirements. Proven experience in successfully working with and managing specialist service providers in a commercial setting.
- Experience in applying structured project management methods.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity defences and techniques.
- Working knowledge of state, national and international cybersecurity and information security frameworks.
- Experienced in cyber incident management, including communications with senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a technology discipline such as computer science, information technology management, systems engineering or similar.
- At least 8 years of project delivery experience in information technology or similar fields is desirable.
- A diploma or certification in cybersecurity is advantageous.
- Experience working in cybersecurity projects is highly desired.
