Position Details

About us

Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Community Services' Police, Fines and Crime Prevention division. FES is responsible for managing the end-to-end fines system in Victoria and includes Fines Victoria and Sheriff's Office Victoria.

The Strategic Insights and Information Services (SII) team within FES, aims to provide desktop publishing, digital services and information on fines and road safety cameras to the general community and its many diverse stakeholders.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Digital Programs and Strategy, the Online Adviser provides guidance on the strategic use of online communication and ensures high-quality, relevant, accurate and compelling content. The role will manage online communications and maintain the online presence and digital collateral for the FES business unit and the Fines Victoria and Cameras Save Lives websites. In this role, you will:

  • provide graphic design and desktop publishing support in line with the DJCS style guide
  • write, create and edit compelling online content in line with DJCS style guide and guidelines
  • provide strategic advice and direction on the improvement and development of the FES websites, Justice website and intranet
  • develop and implement guidelines, policies and procedures that ensure best practice web communication and governance across the Justice portfolio.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • experience in the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud packages
  • advanced knowledge and understanding of best practice web design development, emerging technologies, content management systems and web analytics
  • sound understanding of Governance website standards
  • experience in the interpretation, presentation and communication of assessable information and visual content for a range of audiences
  • experience in managing web or digital projects.

A tertiary qualification in a communication related discipline is desirable.
