We are also responsible for fostering greater understanding and awareness of the concept of responsible gambling in the wider community. Our work can be broadly categorised into the following areas: Treatment and support services, Community education and prevention, Research, Gambling Information Resources Office, and Professional Development Centre. Position Details

About the role

The Foundation is in search of an experienced Senior Research Officer to lead major projects involving high-level research and evaluation in relation to gambling harm.  The role will be integral in providing innovative and reasoned advice on policy and program development matters based on research and analysis evidence, and will use their expertise in statistical and corporate research and analysis to inform the development of decision making. Full-time and part-time arrangements will be considered at a minimum 0.8 EFT or 4 days per week. 

About you

Key to the success of the role will be your extensive experience in the management of research including technical expertise in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.  A sound knowledge and understanding of public health is highly regarded.  SPSS, STATA, Endnote and NVIVO experience is desirable.  Qualifications in public health, social sciences, epidemiology or other related fields is highly desirable.
