About us

The Infringement Management & Enforcement Services (IMES) business unit provides end-to-end management of infringement matters to the Victorian Government and a range of external enforcement agencies. The management and enforcement of infringements is critical to the effective and efficient operation of the criminal justice system in Victoria. The criticality of this function has been elevated following the introduction of Victoria's Fines Reform Act 2014, which will transition Victoria to a wholly administrative fines recovery model.

The Camera Operations group deliver and maintain the government's fixed digital road safety camera program. The group manages the day-to-day operations of the Road Safety Camera network, including monitoring of the camera systems operational status, ensuring compliance of systems with departmental standards and management of camera contractors, testing and maintenance.

About the role

As the Technical Data Analyst you will be a member of the Camera Compliance, Research and Development team, and will be responsible for:

  • analysing complex data associated with the performance of road safety camera systems used in Victoria
  • camera compliance, quality assurance and performance monitoring
  • implementing, maintaining and improving reporting systems
  • reviewing and analysing camera performance data and associated projects of work
  • assisting the senior Quality Assurance Officer in conducting high-level analyses and investigations.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • good knowledge on statistics or mathematics
  • hands-on experience using a variety of software's
  • strong and proven skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access
  • well-developed skills in VBA or other relevant macro languages
  • very good conceptual, analytical and investigative skills.
