Position Details

About us

The Assets, Infrastructure and Major Projects (AIM) business unit resides within the Finance, Infrastructure and Governance Division and is a specialist centre for the development and maintenance of all assets within the Justice and Regulation portfolio. AIM is a results-driven organisation responsible for planning, maintaining and delivering infrastructure programs and projects on behalf of the department's business units and statutory entities within the Justice and Regulation portfolio.

About the role

The Project Officer will contribute to a variety of complex projects, including major business initiatives, the procurement of contracted services and products, investment proposals, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will:

  • prepare and review project documentation including reports, plans, budgets and briefing materials for senior management
  • establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the success of projects
  • manage the procurement of small projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • demonstrated expertise or knowledge of the principles and processes of project and contract management, project lifecycle stages and project management software
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • advanced computer skills including complex word processing, spreadsheet and database functions.

Relevant project management qualifications or equivalent experience is desirable.
