Position Details

About us

The Risk Audit and Integrity Directorate sits within the Corporate Governance and Support division in the Department of Justice and Community Safety. RAID is responsible for a number of key strategic functions including, risk and business continuity management, audit, insurance, corruption investigations, integrity education and secretariat for the department's Audit and Risk Management Committee.

About the role

As the Senior Investigation Officer, you will:

  • assist and support the management and delivery of the department's fraud and corruption investigation and integrity regime
  • manage and lead complex fraud and corruption investigations and provide recommendations to business units on fraud and corruption control strategies
  • assist with the operation and management of the department's Corruption Triage Committee
  • participate in and support the delivery of the fraud and corruption prevention and education program
  • initiate and maintain effective working relationships at a department.

The position is on a part time (two days per week), fixed term basis for 12 months.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • an understanding of and experience in risk management
  • an ability to take professional witness statements (critical)
  • significant experience in leading complex investigations in either an integrity, law enforcement or public sector environment
  • knowledge of investigation programs, policies and procedures
  • high level experience in managing diverse and complex internal and external stakeholder relationships
