About Us

Liquor, Gaming and Racing (LGR) advises the Minister for Consumer Affairs, Gaming and Liquor Regulation and the Minister for Racing on the development and implementation of liquor and gambling legislation and regulation, and on current and emerging issues. It also administers racing legislation and policies, and provides a range of advisory, administrative and regulatory services that contribute to the performance of the racing industry. 

The role of the Office of Racing is to advise the Minister for Racing on the development and implementation of racing policy and on current and emerging racing-related issues. The Office of Racing administers racing legislation, implements government's racing policy objectives and facilitates the ongoing relationship between the government and stakeholders within the racing industry. The Office of Racing also has responsibility for the administration of funding support to the racing industry in order to deliver on key objectives of the government's racing program.

About the Role

As our Administration Support Officer, you will provide a range of administrative support functions for the Office of Racing to ensure operational business functions are delivered efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include: recording and assessing applications, preparing responses for correspondence, conducting the licence return process, maintaining accurate records and liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
