Position Details

About us

Infringement Management and Enforcement Services (IMES) is a business unit within the Department of Justice and Regulation's Criminal Law Policy & Operations division. IMES is responsible for managing the end-to-end infringements system in Victoria and includes the Director, Fines Victoria, the Sheriff's Office Victoria, the Asset Confiscation Office and the operation of road safety cameras.

The IMES Reform Program aims to provide business stability and continuity for existing IMES business services.

About the role

As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will manage and lead budget and finance administration operations for the IMES Reform Project. In the role, you will:

  • provide expert financial management advice and oversight of a number of interdependent project streams
  • manage and lead the IMES Reform Project budget, financial reporting processes and finance operations
  • take a lead role in regular budget maintenance, updates and forecasts, and develop and recommend innovative solutions
  • prepare authoritative and strategic written briefings on performance data and the delivery of key operational program objectives.

Please note this is a fixed term opportunity until 25 October, 2018.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • proven experience in the preparation of briefings and reports on complex financial issues using clear and concise language, organising information in a logical sequence, and including content appropriate for the audience
  • sound experience in the provision of a broad range of financial management services and the application of the Financial Management Act 1994
  • knowledge or experience in the collation and analysis of data and information
  • the alibility to provide authoritative advice to senior departmental representatives.
