Department policy stipulates that salary upon commencement is paid at the base of the salary range for the relevant grade. Any above base requests require sign off by an executive delegate and will be by exception only or where required to match the current salary of Victorian Public Service staff transferring at level.

About Us

The Recruitment Services branch within People and Culture provides expert advice and support to the Department of Justice and Regulation on all recruitment related matters, including attraction, selection, redeployment and other recruitment and retention practices. Working within the department's strategic objective of “building a high performing justice system”, Recruitment Services delivers consultative, progressive, innovative, fair and ethical recruitment solutions.

About the Role

As the Recruitment Campaigns Officer, you will support the end-to-end recruitment process during campaigns and other volume recruitment activities, making sure that all candidates have a positive experience throughout their recruitment process with the department. You will undertake recruitment activities including: advertising roles, screening applications, administering telephone or video interviews, scheduling interviews, facilitating face-to-face assessment activities, completing reference checks, arranging safety and security checks, and producing employment documentation. You will also be required to provide high quality customer service while interacting with candidates throughout the recruitment process via phone and email.

Travel to metropolitan and regional locations to assist with recruitment activities may be required.

Two ongoing positions are available.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • a demonstrated experience working in a fast paced human resources or recruitment environment
  • a proven experience in delivering high quality customer service
  • strong attention to detail, as well as excellent organising and planning skills in order to achieve team objectives.
