  • Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service 

  • VPS Grade VPS3: $81,496 - $98,955 plus superannuation. 

About the Business Unit: 

Victims, Redress and System Reform. (VRSR)is part of the Community Safety, Victims and Racing (CSVR) within Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS).  VRSR is responsible for the delivery and reform of services to victims of crime, placing victims at the centre of the justice process.

About the Role: 

Reporting to the Director, Victims and Justice Operations, the Business Support Officer will provide confidential administrative support to the Director. These include administrative tasks for daily operations including accounts and finance, document management, data and reporting, conference attendance and travel, preparation and dissemination of complex correspondence and detailed reports as well as be the initial point of contact for inquiries, facilities and logistics for service delivery. The role also supports broader VRSR administrative functions or special projects as required.

Working with the Executive Assistant and Administrative Support Officer, this role will be required to work collaboratively to ensure that each Director/Executive Director's office is managed in an effective and efficient manner.

Some of your duties will include: 

  • Provide high quality, flexible and effective administrative and business support services for the Director including inbox, diary and meeting management.
  • Assess and prioritise emails, briefs, invoices and correspondence and take appropriate follow up action.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the VRSR Business Support function to ensure that the Director is well supported, inform.ed and briefed in a timely manner.

About You: 

As our ideal candidate, you will possess: 

  • Experience in providing support and assistance to senior managers, ideally within a large complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and business support including financial records and processes
