• Salary: $116,413-$140,849 plus superannuation
• Fixed term / Ongoing role: Fixed Term (2 years)

The Role
The Senior Project Officer, Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation (MAPT) and Infrastructure plays a key role in shaping and delivering strategic creative industries initiatives, supporting major infrastructure projects across Victoria's cultural portfolio. This role focuses on long-term outcomes within the Melbourne Arts Precinct, including land tenure, operating requirements, forward planning and sector development within relevant legislative and regulatory frameworks.

You will provide high-quality strategic advice to inform government decision-making, contributing to infrastructure delivery, investment priorities and policy development. Working across complex projects, including the $1.7 billion Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to resolve issues, develop project options and ensure alignment with broader creative industries objectives. This role is suited to a strategic thinker with strong project management capability, who can navigate complex environments and build effective partnerships to deliver impactful outcomes.

Main Accountabilities
• Initiate research and analysis to inform strategic project and policy outcomes
• Manage and lead projects, ensuring delivery aligns with organisational objectives
• Develop project briefs and provide advice to support decision-making and implementation
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships to address issues and achieve project outcomes
• Influence policy development through high-quality advice and analysis

The Team
The position of Senior Project Officer, Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation and Infrastructure forms a part of the Policy and Delivery Branch within Creative Victoria.

Creative Victoria champions and supports the state's creative industries, investing in talent, organisations, infrastructure and programs that contribute to Victoria's cultural and economic success.

The Policy and Delivery Branch brings together investment, infrastructure delivery and policy development to support artists, organisations and major creative assets, while leading strategic coordination across government and industry.

About You
• Strong strategic planning capability, with the ability to think at a whole-of-system level and contribute to long-term outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects, translating strategy into actionable programs and managing competing priorities
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills, building effective partnerships and influencing outcomes across diverse groups
