About the branch

The position sits within the Environment and Science Division. The Division provides advice and services related to environmental and visitor management for the park and reserve system managed by Parks Victoria. Aligned with the strategic directions of Parks Victoria the Environment and Science Division undertakes conservation planning and develops science and monitoring programs for the park system, including for Victoria's marine protected area system.   

Position Purpose

As the Dive Officer you will provide high level support for the management of Parks Victoria's diving and snorkelling activities, including administrative, legislative and operational support, overseeing staff training and development and diving related equipment purchases. You will oversee in-water operations, ensuring the safety of personnel involved in marine activities, the review of Parks Victoria Diving and Snorkelling Operational Procedure, compliance with legislation, and review and implementation of appropriate procedures and policies.
