About Us
Located within Investment and Technology Group, the Commercial Transactions Division operates as a centre of excellence for the Department on commercial tenders, negotiations, management and advisory services. Our portfolio of transaction and commercial advisory projects includes train, tram, bus, road/rail maintenance contracting and re-tendering, media rights and ticketing. Planning for the retendering of expiring contracts and design of new contracts is critical to drive improved commercial outcomes across the transport portfolio.
About the Role
The Future Public Transport Ticketing (PTT) project seeks to plan and procure the State's future public transport ticketing solution and services and oversee transition to the implementation phase (which will be managed as a separate project).
Reporting to the PTT Customer Lead, the purpose of the Experience Design Lead role is to lead experience design activity for the Public Transport Ticketing Project. In this role by working with our customers, stakeholders and partners, you will develop and shape the PTT offering to best meet the needs of customers and be able to influence the project outcomes through the provision of a customer centric evidence base to support those outcomes across the customer's journey.
Key Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience as an Experience, Service or Product Designer with demonstrated experience in large and complex projects and programs ideally in the procurement or implementation project phases.
- Experience planning, leading and synthesising research by demonstrating the ability to empathise with a wide variety of user groups and stakeholders.
- High Level written and oral communications skills with the proven ability to create artefacts that simplify complex interactions into easy-to-understand concepts, influencing stakeholders to see the user perspective
7+ years experience designing customer experiences, services or products for a range of users, business problems and touchpoints and applying best practice experience design principles and accessibility standards across a range of touch points (ie mobile, web, kiosk, etc) is also required.
