About the Project
The Department of Transport, has contracting relationships with our major train and tram operators - Yarra Trams & Metro Trains Melbourne, managed on behalf of the Victorian Government. DoT is establishing a new project team, which will be reviewing the State's franchise framework.
About the Opportunity
The Director, Rolling Stock will lead the Rolling Stock work stream and work closely with the broader project team to deliver project objectives.
About You
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in providing senior stakeholders with high quality advice, leading highly functioning multidisciplinary teams to drive transport outcomes, and designing rolling stock regimes for complex government projects, ideally in a public transport setting.

Qualifications
Mandatory
- A relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management or other related technical field is required, and a commercial discipline is desirable.
- A proven record of leading technical analysis and advisory of government initiatives, ideally in a public transport setting.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge specific to rail rolling stock, and demonstrated experience working on major infrastructure and/or commercial projects in either public and/or private sectors, including experience with a range of procurement models.
