About the Division

Investment and Technology provides investment strategy and deliver commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the State. 

The Enterprise Technology team, which is led by the CIO, provides IT services and technology for the Department of Transport, delivering Corporate and Enterprise wide capabilities. It performs a central role providing core data services, Cyber leadership, and documenting strategic directions for all of Department of Transport's Information technology and data.

About the opportunity

The Technical Services Manager - Networks sits within Enterprise Technology and is responsible for providing ongoing support and management of Department of Transport's enterprise network and associated infrastructure systems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide network related subject matter expertise consultancy to stakeholders across the Department.
  • Ensure that network assets and associated services have been proactively maintained to business expectations. This includes the effective maintenance of current state documentation and artefacts for network assets and services.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Identifies and manages a range of complex and often competing needs; Facilitates innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues
  • Integrates improved capabilities into service delivery processes. Assumes the role of solution architect or project manager where there's a balanced focus between technology and strategy.
