Senior Finance Business Partner
- Annual Salary Range: VPS5: $103,920 - $125,735 per annum plus superannuation
- Tenure: Ongoing - Full time
- Usual Work Location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be avaiable)

To provide investment strategy and deliver commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the State.
About the Opportunity
The position requires the incumbent to effectively lead and manage employees in the provision of finance business partnering services. Further, the incumbent will be required to provide expert advice and guidance to internal clients, apply well developed engagement skills, creative and advanced problem-solving skills and specialised financial management skills in the provision of financial business partnering services to assist internal clients in their decision making and business performance.
Key Accountabilities
- Effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop employees in providing high quality financial business partnering services in accordance with developed strategies, frameworks and policies.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and effective internal client liaison regarding financial business partnering services ensuring the integrity of financial information and compliance with Government and Department financial strategies, policies and procedures that will add value to client decision making and the achievement of business outcomes
- Apply well developed engagement skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients, and demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills
- Apply creative and advanced problem-solving skills to identify, develop, recommend and implement innovative strategies, initiatives and solutions to improve financial business partnering frameworks, systems, policies, and processes
- Apply well developed specialised financial management skills and leadership in the implementation of the Department's financial strategy, policies and budget priorities, compliance with the Financial Management Act, and implementation of the Directions of the Minister for Finance, as part of providing financial business partnering services
- Exercise independent judgement in providing robust financial business partnering services to assist internal clients decision making and business performance

Desirable
- Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA Program
- Membership of CPA or CA
