About the Role

The Manager, Project Financial Systems is responsible for Managing and delivering support services for users of the department's Project applications including the Project Financial Management and Budget and Forecasting Application used to record, report, and manage project financial information. The role ensures these support services are user-focussed and delivers innovation regarding business process design and finance service delivery.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the financial project systems team in delivering;

- Level 1- 3 Functional supports for Project portfolio management (PPM) module functionalities implement in the department.
- Maintenance of the ERP project module and PFM related custom applications.
- Collaborate with Finance system teams to deliver end-to-end system support.

 

  • Manage system projects and system change management processes including business requirement elicitation, design, development, testing, UAT, quarterly upgrades and data migration.
  • Provide effective leadership, people management and support to the team. Ensure Staff are engaged with high levels of cohesion and commitment and are delivering on the services required.


Key Selection Criteria:

  • Leadership and People Management: Builds team commitment by demonstrating personal conviction.
  • Specialist Expertise: Proven hands-on experience on Project to Cash(P2C) area with expertise in Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Resource Management, OTL, accounts receivable (AR), accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), procurement and expenses modules along with good understanding of accounting.
  • Conceptual and analytical ability: Deals with concepts and complexity comfortably; Uses analytical and conceptual skills to reason through problems.
  • Service Excellence:  Identifies and responds to clients' underlying needs; Uses understanding of the client or stakeholder's organisational context to tailor services and ensure a high-quality response.
