Position Details

Senior Workplace Relations Advisor

  • Annual Salary Range $103,920 - $125,735 per annum plus super
  • Tenure: Fixed term 1 x 12mths 1x 6mths
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Usual Work Location: Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available, inlcuding some limited remote working)

About the Opportunity

You will work in close collaboration with the wider organisation providing a high-level of specialist advice and support on complex employee and industrial relatons IR matters

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborative and productive working relationships are fostered with managers, staff and other key stakeholders including Unions
  • Best-practice case management and timely advice on complex employee and industrial relations matters
  • Manage key projects and initiatives
  • Work with Senior Business Partners on organisational change initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge and practical working experience in contemporary best practice Human Resources, particularly in the areas of workplace relations
  • Sound understanding of and ability to interpret and apply relevant employment legislation, regulations, government policy and EA's
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating with employees, Unions and other external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with all levels of management
  • Understanding of employee relations case management principles and the practical application
  • Proficiency in the use of contemporary business software programs

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in a related or relevant field is desirable
  • Role may involve evening or weekend work including occasional overnight travel.
  • An ability and willingness to travel and work across locations within metropolitan and regional Victoria is sometimes required
