Position Details
About the Opportunity
In this role you will be responsible for, and work towards, resolving heavy vehicle operational issues to maximise the use of the road network for heavy vehicle operators.
- Assess and delivery operational policies and projects that optimise the benefits of a safer and more productive heavy vehicle industry
- Negotiate and influence key internal, and external, stakeholders to develop relationships that ensure the benefit of the significant investment in road infrastructure is maximised by the heavy vehicle industry
- Provide sound advice and contribute to cross-functional and collaborative working relationships within Freight Victoria and other areas of DoT to achieve agreed outcomes and ensure flexibility to respond to program and access development needs
About You
- Experienced developing and delivering policies and projects that deliver proven benefits to a broader community group
- An understanding of the heavy vehicle industry, in the context of proving safe and productive solutions, is an advantage
- Able to use interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain strong networks with internal and external stakeholders to progress work.
- Able to assess complex issues and recommend the most appropriate solutions
- Improvement focussed, proactive and able to resolve complex issues where policies, guidelines and/or precedent are not readily available.
- Flexible and collaborative
