About the Opportunity

In order to create a successful, connected, and liveable Victoria, the Transport Planner will assist the Department's regional Transport Integration team. To advance integrated land use and transportation planning in regional Victoria, the role will work collaboratively with the transport portfolio, other governmental departments and organisations (such as the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, VLine, and VicTrack), regional partnerships, and local government.

About You

Our ideal Candidate will have:

  • Strategic Planning: Plans and reviews work based on what is important to achieve, rather than what tasks are usually done
  • Environmental Scanning: Contacts others, not immediately involved, to obtain their perspective and expertise
  • Written Communication: Prepares briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language; Ensures written communications contain necessary information to achieve their purpose
  • Experience in transport planning would be desirable
