Position Details

About us

The Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria (DSCV) provides free dispute resolution services across Victoria, as well as training and accrediting mediators to national standards. DSCV's purpose is to empower and assist the Victorian community to prevent and appropriately resolve issues, alleviate pressure on the judicial system and help the community to thrive.

About the role

DSCV has an exciting opportunity to join the Training and Development Team as a Lead Trainer to support the capacity and capability build of Victorian Communities to resolve their own disputes.

This is a pivotal role in the delivery and facilitation of DSCV external training packages and supporting the Training and Development Manager in the delivery of internal training initiatives. The Lead Trainer will be the “Principal Trainer” in the delivery of DSCV's National Mediation Accreditation Standards (NMAS) training program (as per NMAS requirements), as well as the lead Trainer for delivery of additional conflict resolution courses.

About you

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflict resolution, mediation and ADR theories and processes
  • Exposure to e-Learning (desirable)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the delivery of mediation training and conflict resolution, including participating as a trainer and an assessor
  • Three years or more training experience.
