About us

The Department of Treasury and Finance provides economic, financial and resource management advice to help the Victorian Government deliver its policies. We strive for excellence in financial and economic management to improve the lives of all Victorians.

Invest Victoria is the Victorian Government's key economic development agency responsible for setting and implementing the Government's investment strategy and attracting Foreign Direct Investment opportunities.

The Innovation and Partnerships team within the Investment division of Invest Victoria undertakes investment attraction activity, particularly strategic investments that contribute to Victoria's innovation ecosystem. The team provides a coordinating role in bringing internal Victorian government partners and external partners together to enable collaboration and transformative investment in Victoria.

About the role

There are two ongoing Investment Manager positions available within the Innovation and Partnerships team.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will have direct access to high potential growth companies, working with them to strategically access Victorian Government support, programs and expertise.            

You will be a key member of a dynamic team focused on securing investment across five of the State's key sectors, including Advanced Manufacturing, Health and Life Sciences, Agri-business and Agri-food, New Energy and Emissions Reduction, and Digital Technologies.

The successful applicants will work effectively as a member of a high-performing team, enjoy flexible working arrangements and undertake a wide variety of work across the Invest Victoria business.

About you

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge and experience across our key sectors along with a comprehensive understanding of the global business environment, the critical nature of innovation to the economy and investment trends.

You will have built industry and critical stakeholder networks and experience in active lead generation.

Experience and qualifications

A relevant tertiary degree in a business, economics or related discipline is required. Experience working in renewable or new energy sector is highly regarded.
