The Office of Projects Victoria (OPV) supports the successful delivery of major projects by providing technical advice, project oversight and assurance so that the full benefits of the significant investment in infrastructure are realised for all Victorians.

About the role

A full-time permanent opportunity now for a Senior Manager, Project Advisory exists in the Project Advisory team to provide project assurance and oversight.

You will:

  • Focus on scope, schedule and cost assurance of high value high risk projects in the general government sector
    • Lead project reviews and advise on due diligence on asset investment proposals, business cases and delivery of projects by assessing constructability and providing strategic input to high value high risk assessments
    • Lead strategic or project system wide improvement initiatives
    • Provide input to procurement and tender documentation and processes
  • Be a senior leader in the public service:
    • Provide senior leadership to project advisory and technical assurance initiatives within OPV and across major projects in the public sector
    • Contribute to the organisational/group strategic direction
    • Develop and maintain relationships internally and externally

About you

To be considered for this role, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering or Finance related discipline and demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in infrastructure delivery or project management across a wide range of sectors and environments
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Proven achievement in managing and influencing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Sound understanding of DTF's project assurance framework, or its equivalent
