About the role:

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to members at the Footscray Police Station, North-West Metro Region, Division 2.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Property management including but not limited to recording of property movements, safe property handling, communicating with Sworn members and management in relation to property items and their movements.
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to property items.
  • Property management using the PALM system.
  • Maintaining accountable documents including data entry, typing and word processing.
  • The recording and tracking of briefs, correspondence and property and attend to follow-up procedures as required with a high attention to detail.
  • Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders and provide information and advice as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and various programs to perform a arrange of administrative tasks.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records whilst meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and work independently.
  • Display initiative and proactive work practices.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) Part time 0.8 FTE (60.8hrs), ongoing position available.
  • Position will be located at Footscray Police Station, 66 Hyde Street, Footscray VIC. While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
